Why am I finally doing this?  Why, after months of negligence, am I finally telling the world of my life up to this day?  Simple answer:  PROCRASTINATION.

Yes, it's that time of year again, and I'm experiencing it for the first time in England.  It's time for final exams.  My first two exams are on Monday the 17th of May, and I've been preparing for these exams since the end of April, but as it gets closer and closer to the date, I find more and more excuses to take a break.  Just this morning, I searched for a local swimming pool and indulged in a good 15 minutes worth of lap swim for the first time in months.  and now I'm doing this.

But enough about that.  Where did i leave off?

I think I remember telling everyone in my last entry that I was attending university in England... and the first reaction I got was "OMG LONDON FTW"  ...yeah, no, London is south, I'm in the north.  And the accents are very different here.  Actually sounds a bit Scottish... okay, not that Scottish.  I have Scottish friends now, and their accents are like NOTHING I've ever heard before.  

But it's still fun here!  I've spent a good first year, complete with parties, dinners with friends, taking in the gorgeous scenery... intermingled with the difficulties of pursuing a combined degree in Mathematics and Philosophy.  I thought I was good at maths, but that was back in high school when we had lessons every day, and worked on a given topic for a full year.  Over here, we have lectures practically every other day, and we fit a year's worth of material into the span of 9-10 weeks!  So needless to say, university isn't treating me ideally... but I wouldn't trade it for anything else in the world.

Of course, being on-and-off for the past 23 months (currently "off") with does distract me a bit from the happenings over here in England, among other wishful thinkings concerning people I've left behind in the good old USA, and I find myself slipping into nostalgia when I should be revising linear algebra and theories of morality, but I am happy to say that I have friends over here to keep me grounded to university.

As far as my art goes, I have done a few pieces of traditional means, but I don't have access to a good scanner, so until I return to the states this August, you'll have to settle with the odd photography/photoshop works that I churn out when I find the time.  I promise that come this summer, you'll see the rewakened deluge of raven4ever deviations flood your message stacks...

which may or may not be such a good thing...
